Currently I'm... March Update.

I like to do these posts every few months and considering my last one was in September I felt another was due. 

Reading: At the beginning of the year I set myself the challenge to read all of the Harry Potter books and on this day I have only read about the first 5 chapters, so my challenge is not going so well, I suppose. Other than the non-reading of Harry Potter I can't say I've been reading anything else.

Watching: At the start of the month I finally got Netflix yay! So I've been obsessed with Breaking Bad (spoke about that in another post so I won't go into it again) and all the great films they have on there. Also I have just finished the Sex and the City box set for about the fifth time.
Listening to: Avenged Sevenfold, Angels and Airwaves & Bowling for Soup's new album. 
Drinking: Recently I've been trying to drink more water. My skin's not looking it's best at the moment so I'm trying to make it look less dead.

Loving: Having a proper working phone again. For the past month and more I have been without a normal working phone. I have been using two phones, one which only works when it's on charge so I could only use it in the house & the other which had no credit on but used to take out with me in case any one wanted to get in touch with me. A right palaver. But now I have the iPhone 4 and I'm loving it. 

Enjoying: Focusing on myself. That sounds a little selfish but in the past month I've been looking after myself a little more, buying myself little things as I didn't before. I was always focused on somebody else more than putting my own feelings first. 

Learning: Saving. I've never been able to save my money, but I've made the effort to do so now. It's so hard but just saying no to myself has paid off so well.

Wearing: At the moment, I'm chilling in my leggings and converse jumper, just one of those snug days. But I've started to get the shorts, skirts and tights out... Nice weathers on it's way.

WHERE DID YOUR BLOG NAME COME FROM?

Originally my blog was called Perfect, I'm yours - Horrible name for a blog but I made it around 2008 and was young. But I changed it last year to What a Little Pickle, the reason for this, Ashley calls me his Pickle and I'm short. Simple enough.

A FEW THINGS ABOUT MY APPEARANCE

I'm 5'4, and currently have shortish red hair but it changes constantly. Going to stay red for a bit though I think now. I have 6 tattoo's, but 4 are always covered so you'd never know they are there. My eyes are 3 different colours if you look closely, grey, brown and green. 

A FEW THINGS ABOUT MY PERSONALITY

I instantly know when I meet someone if we'd be good friends. I always go with my heart over my head. After spending time with loads of people I like to be on my own for like a whole day, just doing whatever I want to do, I like to be on my own. I'm kind and I like to think I'm creative.

I've been with Ashley the past year. He's my best friend.

For the past two years I've had Britney Spears - Fantasy. But I fancied a change and this year I have the One Direction perfume. Now I know I'm not a huge One Direction fan but the perfume is so nice. So, no judgement.
Also the Charlie Pink perfume for everyday.

Currently I'm... September update.

I know I keep disappearing for so long & I cannot promise it won't happen again with me (hopefully) starting college soon but I thought I'd do a little update post. Letting you know what I'm currently into/loving. 

Reading: I should really take this option off here as I'm not a reader at all. Only things I read are blog posts, the TV guide, Facebook posts... 
Watching: Celebrity Juice has recently just started again on ITV2, so I'm loving watching that again. Also, Teen Mom, Don't Tell the Bride, X Factor, Educating Yorkshire. I have recently just discovered the brilliance of Catfish too, so whenever I see that on TV, I always shove it on.
Listening to: I've been getting into a few new to me but old bands at the moment, including Lifehouse, Falling in Reverse, Theory of a Deadman.
Drinking: Just yesterday I've found the most amazing drink. The Pomegranate Relentless, amazing. Just need to find somewhere that sells it in my area.  
Loving: Being back in touch with friends. After nearly 2 years not speaking to my friends for stupid reasons. We're all back in touch and it's so lovely just to have someone there when you need them. I missed them a hell of a lot and it's great knowing I have them back in my life.
Enjoying: My Galaxy Tab 2. I had this for my 21st birthday last month. I'm so obsessed with it. 
Learning: Independence. Last month I was thrown into a position where I didn't have someone to rely on all the time. I had to start to go and do things by myself. I started going to the gym on my own, just little things like that... I know it's not a huge step, but when you've always had someone by your side through all things like that. It was a big step for me. 
Wearing: Soon to be, winter hats, scarfs and fluffy Ugg style boots. It's getting cold out too quick.

It's been a while.

Oh dear, my last post was 2nd June. I've slacked a bit & i do apologise again for my non-existent posts the last month. I've failed you & myself. :( 

I started my job and ended my job whilst I've been away. I went to work for a company which scan GCSE & A Level papers. So if you've been doing any of those exams this year, It is probably most likely that I was working at the place which dealt with all your papers as it's one of two business's that do that job and where I was, was the main place exams go to.

What else have I been up to...

1. Been meeting a lot of Ashley's mates lately, which has been nerve wracking. I don't know why or how I get so nervous!
2. I won a Blogger competition from the lovely MollieMuses. Which I shall be doing a blog post on now I'm getting back into the swing of things. 
3. I've been playing Ni No Kuni a little too much, and it has now became a slight addiction.

Also Ash and I went to go see Monsters University on Friday just gone. We booked tickets online as we were excited to see it as soon as we heard about it coming out.
--It was amazing, honestly everyone has to go and see it!

I shall be posting again a lot more often now as my job is over and I have more spare time.

Now I know I haven't done my weekend nail challenge but I'm at Ash's the weekend and haven't brought my nail varnish with me, like an idiot. So I'll be doing the currently tag. Here goes...

Reading: This will be a good start but I'm not a big reader so I'm not reading anything.
Watching: So lately I've gotten into an American tv show on ABC called The Secret Life of an American Teenager. It's really cheesy but so addictive. I'm half way through the second season and only been watching it for around 2 weeks.
Listening to: Loving Bastille's album 'Bad Blood' it's honestly so good. Needs to be checked out!!
Drinking: Frijj's milkshakes! They've been on offer in Tesco the past week so I've been going a little too mad on them.
Loving: Oreo Dairy Milk, it's just too good.
Enjoying: My new routine, after starting work this week it's got me enjoying having something to actually do everyday. (The money also helps this enjoyment)
Learning: My new job. Me and Ash have started our jobs together and it's great. Learning new things and meeting new people, I'm enjoying it a lot!
Wearing: Rimmel Colour Stay Foundation.  After having one previously bottle of this I never thought much of it, but then with my second one now, I do love it.

Apologies!... Let me explain,

Hii Guys, long time no speak!
Hope you're all doing okay. So I haven't posted in a while but I have good valid reasons.
As you maybe know, if you are a regular reader. I'm job hunting at the moment and two/three weeks ago (a lot has happened so I've lost track of my days... don't you hate that!) I had two job offers come out the blue at once. One at my old job at Amazon and the other working in an office. 

Both jobs was with two different agency's  after going to the Amazon agency, filling in paper work and going to do a drug and alcohol test (everyone was asked to do this, not just me...), then told my starting day I was really happy to be working again. The rang me and told me my starting day had been changed and they would contact me for further information. A week later, they left me a lovely voice mail to say Amazon cannot rehire me again. - Which I wasn't a happy bunny.

Second job opportunity at the office came along during that process with Amazon, now this one has been a bit of a roller coaster, first having to go to a employment program, filling out applications, doing a Health and Safety course and going to a group meeting. They then passed us over to the agency, which when we got there, there was too many people so they had to send some of us home. I had to be one of those people. Then going back another day to do more applications. Then not hearing off them for about a week, with me ringing every so often to see if they had any news on the job. I then got told all the vacancies had been filled, which obviously left me with no hope at all. 
Monday just gone, I got a call out of the blue to tell me my application had been sent off to the business I was applying for. By the Wednesday I was told that my application had been successful and I was needed to go into the place of work for a half hour interview to meet the Manager.
I got a call about an hour after that to say I had finally got the job! Yay!!
So after all the rigmarole, I start work on Tuesday, doing nights. Which will be strange as I've never worked nights before.

So I am sorry for the lack of posts the past few weeks, and maybe for the next week or so. Need to get into a new sleeping pattern and get my body organised first, and then I'll be good to go blogging again. 

Bank Holiday BBQ.

Another life post. I've had such a great bank holiday, I've had to share it with you all. 
Now if you live in the UK you'll know it's been the hottest day of the year so far and we've made the most of it haven't we! It's been so nice & another great day tomorrow too. 
I spent the whole day with Ashley outside enjoying the weather. Firstly spent the morning dying my hair since the last time I done it, it was February so as you can imagine, it needed doing. Badly.
Then spent lunch time having a BBQ and a few drinks with Ash, my Mother & my Nan which was so lovely. 
We went for a walk to a woods I live by, so nice and peaceful over there. Wanted to take Ash there for a while now as I know he likes scenery & you do get a good view over there. We'll be going again tomorrow we enjoyed it a lot. Ash enjoyed it so much that he decided to go for a long jog there on the evening time. Which he got some lovely photo's of the sunset. 
The days just been amazing & I've loved every moment of it. 
So now it's bed time which will be fun. Two people in a single bed, 10 degree's out with sunburn. Wish us luck!

New Room Ideas. Home-ware wants,

Hii guys,

So I thought I would share this little doo-dar with you. In August, my sister is moving out of the family home and in with her boyfriend. This meaning, for the first time in my 21 years on this planet... I shall have my own room. Oh yes, it's a great occasion.
I shall be moving from the biggest room in the house to the smallest room, which is a box room. But it shall be mine & pretty!
Naturally I have been browsing the Internet for things to buy for my new beautiful room... There's quite a bit but I'm just all too excited. Is that a little sad? 

Ahh well!

To start, so you can get an idea of how the room will look when it's complete. The walls are going to be this sort of colour... Very pale and subtle. 

 

My bedding. Considering the walls are going to be pale pink, I want my bedding to take the limelight in the room. Wanting them to be bright and blue. Both of these bedding sets are from Amazon & such a great price. The polka dot bedding is £6.94 for a pillow case and duvet case - single bed, which I think is a bargain! The floral bedding is £8, again for the pillow case and duvet case - single bed. Both great value. Also I would get the bottom sheets from Primark in pale pink as they are very inexpensive costing between £4-£6.

In the room I have now, I do have a pin notice board. But I've always loved the white eraser magnet boards. I just think they look so much nicer so I will invest in just this cheap one from Amazon. Then I can paint the boring pine wood around it a nice pale blue colour.

So then I was searching for some cute magnets to get to go with it, I found these cute cupcake magnets and these vintage bird glass magnets. 

Wall accessories. I shall start with the blue clock first off, how great will this look on a pale pink wall. Very nice, I do think!

Now I have two sets of wall hooks just because I cannot make my mind up which i like better yet, these will be on the back of my door, as I have no room for coats at the moment.
The first - wooden floral hooks.
Second - cream metal bow hooks.   

These two items, I have wanted since the dawn of time. Ha, about 2-3 years ago I was introduced to these items from various Youtuber's.
The first is a beautiful dressing table from Amazon - only £91. Now for a dressing table like this, that is amazing. For the table, stool & mirror - only £91. Did I just say that!? Second, is a cake stand. But, using it for hair accessories, perfume, make-up... Anything that takes your fancy really.

Chitty Chatty Sunday,

Hii Blogging folk :)
Hope you're all doing okay, thought I would start doing a chatty post. Just every now and again, just for something a little different and so maybe you can know me a little better. 

I've had a lovely week,
Monday - I spent the day at my boyfriends house (Ash). Didn't do much, just spent time together at his, having a lazy day, as you do. I got the bus back on the night. Don't you think bus rides are soothing, I love spending 40 minutes on that bus ride just with my Ipod in. Even though that bus ride is the most bumpiest ever, honestly & when you're sitting at the back. You do get a sore bum and have to brace yourself when you see a speed bump coming. 
Tuesday - On the morning, I went to a work program I'm on, it's a program which help you find jobs. Their not that great, but every little helps. At the moment nobody seems to be taking on full time, only part time which is fine for me as I'm starting college in September so I'll only need a part time job then for weekends. I didn't do a lot after that, had a bath and just relaxed. 
Wednesday - This was a lovely day, I wasn't planning on seeing Ash today as he had football on Thursday night. (As it costs us £5 each way to see each other, we normally spend a few days at each others houses) But he cancelled going to football to come and see me which was so nice as I wasn't in the best of moods. Just having one of those down days, as you do. 
Thursday - Didn't do a lot this day either, me and Ash spent the day watching films, playing on the PlayStation, on Sims. (Have you tried The Sims Free play game on Iphones & Android? It's amazing, check it out!) We just had another lazy day really...
On the night time we had a message sent to the both of us on Facebook, saying that we can have our jobs back at the end of May which is amazing. Just need to sort out travel, as before they had a bus running to take us all to work, but they have now stopped it. Which is frustrating. But if we can sort out travel, we could be working again by June!! Yayy.
Friday - Me and Ash spent the day in the garden, tidying up. Weather was nice for a few hours so we had the chance to get out there & spruce it up a bit after the winter months. Hopefully next week if the weathers nice we'll be able to get out there & do the rest. Hasn't it been a lot nicer this week, just need the little spurts of rain and all that wind to go away. Get that sun out!!
On the evening time, I cooked a Chicken, Bacon, Leek, Cheese Bake with Pasta. It was sooo good! My mom cooked this a few months ago and it's recently become one of my favourite meals, I can't get enough of it. 
Saturday - My Ashley had to go home today, which sucks. But I will be going to spend a few days with him on Monday. Before we went, we had a nice time. Woke up early as the council decided to send their Lawn Mower people out at silly o'clock. So we had breakfast, and spent some nice time together. I spent the rest of the day just doing my own thing, having some lazy time, yet again.
Today - So I'm sitting here now, it's 2:10, I'm watching Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring and I can smell dinner cooking. My plan for today, eat, watch all the Lord of the Rings films (really need to get The Hobbit!), write some blog posts to post while I'm at Ash's and then have a bath and get all pampered. Sounds like a great Sunday to me.

I know my week wasn't too exciting, maybe the next time I do this, I would have done more in the week. Here's hoping! Hope you've all had a more exciting week than me ha ha.

So everyone is doing these posts, haven't got many followers but i thought it would be quite nice for you to learn a bit about me & i wanted to do this post. Ha, got to be honest.
Lets get started...

1. My full name is Victoria Louise Keeling.
2. I start college in September 2013 to do an Access course.
3. In 2014 I shall be starting University. Which i am really excited for.
4. I have 4 tattoo's. Two i love. One i hate. One i can't decide what i think of it.
5. I love movies. Which i shall do a blog post on soon.
6. My favourite song is Good Riddance (Time of your life) - Green Day. This has been my favourite song since i was 14. 
7. I love my pussycat - Oliver.
8. I like baking and nearly always bake something for special occasions. 
9. I love playing Playstation. My favourite games being Kingdom Hearts, Worms, Plants vs Zombies, Crash Bash & Spyro
10. When i love a song, i will put it on loop for days. Until i get a little fed up, but i will always have a special place in my heart for that song. Last song i was obsessed with Kiss You - One Direction. Yes, i'm 20 and like One Direction.

11. My boyfriend Ashley will start his training for the Navy in March 2014. Oh how proud i am of him!
12. Me & my family once got chased by sheep out of a field.
13. I never drink enough. My lips are nearly almost chapped. 
14. I have always hated tea until i was ill in January and really fancied it. Now i love it!
15. I am scared of being a passenger in the car, 90% of the time. Therefor, i don't think i shall ever drive myself.
16. I am fascinated by WW2.
17. The only series of books i have ever read are the 'Fifty Shades' books. I have no idea why. I wouldn't read them again.
18. I would love to live by the beach. Sadly i live in the Midlands. No beach for me.
19. I hate wine. Except for Lambrini, is Lambrini wine? 
20. People always comment on how quiet i am. Only around 6 people can tell you how wrong that is.

The Boyfriend Tag.

Hello again lovely people. So this time I'm back with the famous Boyfriend Tag. 28 questions for the boyfriend (Ashley) to answer. Here goes...

1) Where did we meet?

Where you ask? At only the most beautiful work place in the whole world. AMAZON.CO.UK. All the way up Rugeley. A place full of life and atmosphere. 

2) Where was our first date?

First date? That would depend on what you call a first date. On several occasions me and my beautiful other half would meet up in Walsall town and go for a few drinks in the Old Courthouse Wetherspoons. But that to me isn't what you would call a "date". For me, my first date with Victoria was on Valentines Day when we went out for dinner, dessert & wine. on that day she also met my Father and his other half for the first time properly as well.

3) What was your first impression of me?

I was very shy when I first met Vic, but saying that, she seemed very much the same with her nervous giggle and smile. I thought she was very cute & beautiful. I didn't think she would ever grow to like me. i am so lucky to have her in my life and call her my girlfriend is such a privilege. 

4) When did you meet my family?

It was on two separate occasions i met Vic's mother & Father. For the Mother it happened with me and Vic were up in a bar watching the football. She then suggested that we go back to hers so i can meet her mother and there it happened. As for the father me and Vic were invited to a charity quiz night. For the outside family i met them all when we when out for Sunday lunch in a old fashioned pub. 

5) Name a weird habit I have?

Just one? Gosh, well the most obvious one I can think of is when she just randomly comes up to me and sniffs me...yeah i know weird right? She will just sit there and sniff my neck or my hair or whatever. 

6) How long have we been together?

We have been together since the 28th of January. Cute how I remember yeah?

7) Do we have any traditions?

We most certainly do and my favourite tradition we have is called "nap time". Yes so boring.  We'll be watching a film or something and then just decide its time to nap for an hour...or two or three....

8) First thing you noticed about me?

First thing i noticed about Vic was how shy she seemed to be.  Nervous with A little smile and giggle.  Oh how i love her. Bless....

9) What grinds my gears?

Oh this is a funny question because the answer I'm going to give will make her laugh in honesty. one of the biggest main ones is when other girls decide to like my photos on "Instagram". N'awwwwww.

10) Favourite feature about me?

Always said it is my favourite feature about her and does nothing but tries to hide it every time i notice it. But it's her beautiful smile, especially when she shows her teeth. Mine... 
11) What do we argue about the most?

Argue? We're yet to argue so I can't answer that....boring blogger me...yours sincerely "The Boyfriend"

12) Something you do that I wish you didn't do?

I know one....only one, but it's when I'm holding Vic or cuddling and i decide to look over my shoulder to grab my phone to see if someone has messaged me.

Easy...Chocolate... everybody loves chocolate...even my Vic

14) Do I play any sports?

Not as far as I can tell... Does 8 ball on facebook count?

Oh dear...Vic could easily spend hours "Solving Crimes" on that criminal case thing on facebook....guaranteed

I'm no brag or anything....but its me.... i love her so much.... but likewise.. I wear them....

Funnily enough Vic has a nack for dying her hair a lot in short periods of time. Sniffing me? Think i already mentioned that?

She'll eat anywhere bless her, not a fussy one. Lucky me

20) If I am watching TV, what am I watching?

Miranda, Eastenders, Celebrity Juice, Family Guy, American Dad.

Vic doesn't like olives, whereas ...l Love them

22) What drink do I order when we go out to eat?

Vic's a funny one because she says she doesn't like alcohol whilst eating. but sometimes that changed. she'll either have coke or Stella or Carling at a push.

Vic wears a 6. 

24) My favourite film?

After having a quick browse through her HUGE film collection i quickly concluded that the movie in question is "Pulp Fiction". 

25) What is one talent I have?

Is this a blog or a job interview!? hmm a talent? okay... I'd say one talent would be that she is actually really good at baking...i love everything she has baked up...see i myself am more of an acquired cook, and she has taught me a few things about baking. Shes epic. 

26) What would I eat everyday if I could?

It's hard to narrow that down with so many possible answers but i'm going with the crunchy M+M's (Blue Packet)

Vic has a very opened minded attitude towards music. She'll listen to anything.

Thing I've learnt this month - February.

How lovely learning new things, no matter what it is. Even the smallest of things.
Few things i have learnt this February, as i didn't keep track all month. I can only think of a small few, i'm sure there's more lurking around in my brain somewhere...

1. Of all my 20 years, no body, ever taught me how to make an Omelette. Well now folks, someone took the time out to show me this marvelous food. Even though i have been able to cook eggs in all the ways possible for about 6 years, Omelette's we're never introduced to me.

2. I now know how car gears work, one of the most useless things to know. As i do not drive and do not have the desire to be a mechanic, but i suppose i might be able to pass on my wisdom one day to someone who needs it.

3. Forget Titanic, Top Gun or Pearl Harbor. The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is the saddest film, ever.

4. Finally, I've learnt Valentines is actually quite nice to celebrate.
Normally never being a Valentines fan, thinking it's a waste of money and that anniversary's should just be celebrated, not Valentines. I have changed my mind this year, it is actually quite lovely. 

Hopefully next month i will have learnt more.

A change of direction.

So on my last post in October, i was planning to start blogging again. As you can see, that went to plan. Not totally my fault, as i mentioned then i didn't have a wonderful computer/laptop or anything of the sort to do anything but write on blog posts, meaning no pictures. Nobody wants a blog with no pictures now do they?! As a joint Christmas present between me and my Mom we brought myself a decent laptop, with the ability to actually work & not crash and go mental every time i open 4 tabs at one time. The plan was to start blogging again right away... It's now the 4th of February. But i am back, actually wanting to post new blogs but with a new direction.
I have had a 'blogging buzz' tonight with new ideas not so much in a fashion forward way. I don't think the fashion way is for me. Even though i love to watch beauty guru's on YouTube & follow up on their blogs. I do not think i am the right person to inflict my fashion on anyone...
Seriously, as i went to dinner with my family yesterday. After i'd got ready and was raring to go, my mother walks up to me and says 'Could you put on something a bit more normal?' Thanks Momma. Can always count on your Mom to be honest with you.

So new posts will be coming soon, hopefully a change for the better. Here's hoping.Oh & because you can't have a blog post without a picture. Here's a picture of a baby turtle eating a strawberry. Awhh cute.
